Guided Trail Tours
Explore into our over 10 miles of trails around Cracker Box Palace!
Service Description
Welcome to our trails! There are approximately 10 miles of trails around the farm, all constructed and cared for by volunteers. We ask that you please respect the trails, forests, and farmland while you visit. We do not allow hunting, fishing, or motor vehicles on the property. We are a carry in/carry out property! If you or your group would like to hike or ride the trails there are trail maps available at the office or you may download one from this web site. If you are planning a trip to the farm’s trails, we only ask that you stop by the office or barns to let us know you’ll be out in the woods, and that you leave it as you found it. If you are bringing horses, please do check in on where to park horse trailers. And please do follow the trail signs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Upcoming Sessions
Cancellation Policy
The staff at Cracker Box Palace needs a 3-week minimum lead time to plan accordingly. All tours and visits are at the discretion of the Tour Coordinator, and dependent on the farm’s schedule. All tours are subjected to a $50 booking fee. Requested date will be confirmed upon receipt of the completed form and booking fee. The Tour Coordinator has the right to change the date if needed. THIS TOUR REQUEST IS A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOUR GROUP AND CRACKER BOX PALACE. For your safety, and the safety and welfare of our animals, any persons violating the requests and requirements within this agreement may be asked to leave the premises. Dress for the weather. We are located by Great Sodus Bay, so the weather is usually slightly cooler than inland. And there is a lot of walking involved, so wear comfortable clothes and enclosed toe shoes. Waterproof shoes are suggested as the grass is usually wet even in the late morning. And if you’re planning on visiting the creek it goes without saying! Visiting the Animals – Cracker Box Palace is a farm animal haven; most of our residents have been abused or neglected and are recovering from life circumstances that you can’t even imagine. We ask as a courtesy to our animals that no one runs, chases or shouts at them and please, do not feed fingers to the animals; keep your hands flat-outstretched when feeding the critters. Some of their favorite treats are carrots, apples, peppermints, or animal crackers. Adult supervision of youth tours is always REQUIRED. Children must stay with the supervised group; for safety reasons we cannot allow children to roam freely throughout the farm. There are farm cats who live with us. PLEASE DO NOT PET THE CATS. We caution that they should not be chased or grabbed. They seem friendly, but they are working barn cats who are not as socialized as house cats and may bite or scratch. Cracker Box Palace will not be responsible for anyone disregarding this request. Our farm birds may peck at fingers. Please don’t try to pet them or pick them up. Cracker Box Palace will not be responsible for anyone disregarding this request.
