Youth volunteers are always welcome and encouraged!

There is no limit to the significant impact our youth have at the farm and with our beloved animals.

Cracker Box Palace offers a special place for youth, not only to visit, but to learn and lend a hand too. Many groups and organizations come every year and help us finish projects and help with chores around the farm.

One of the fun things to do at the farm is take a tour. Whether self-guided or if you book a tour, there is much to see and do. Visit the animals, hike the approximately 10 miles of trails around the farm, or for the very young, visit the Fairy Trail and build a Fairy house.

We welcome volunteering too for the kids. With a parent or guardian, it can be a special bonding opportunity to work in a barn or help with a project.

  • 13 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult whenever volunteering or training.

  • 14 years old or older must come with a parent or guardian for 20 hours or 60 days before working independently around the farm. (Evaluation will be required by farm staff or director)

Many Groups and Organizations volunteer at the farm. It’s a great way to accomplish community service hours for some, for others, it’s just a great way to spend a day. To help CBP help your group devise a day of work at the farm, we’ve listed a few projects we would love to accomplish this year or would invite a group to try.

We are excited and willing to work with an abundance of youth, whether individuals or groups.

Cracker Box Palace offers opportunities for youth through schools and youth organizations in the form of field trips, internships, job shadowing and community service. School community service hours are available through Cracker Box Palace at Alasa Farms.
