Xerox has provided Cracker Box Palace with two grants in the past for building projects on the farm. But it was announced in January that Mary Novick, a part of the Lean Six Sigma organization at Xerox that works on process improvement, was granted a 6 month leave of absence to work full time with Cracker Box Palace. The Xerox Social Service Leave program that Xerox began in 1971 enables Xerox employees to take a paid leave of absence from Xerox so they can work on social action projects of their own design and choosing in their communities. To date, nearly 500 Xerox employees have been granted a social service leave ranging from 3 to 12 months. Thank you so much Xerox for granting Cracker Box Palace such an opportunity to learn and achieve!
