Our 2012 Events Open to Vendors, Sponsors and Organizations

 

Horseback Trail Rides at the Farm – June 9^th, Trail Opener and October 27^th, Fall Foliage Ride

This year we will be adding a Trail Club to our Shelter’s activities and will be featuring our newly opened 6 miles plus of trails here on the farm.  It will give our horses some much needed exposure of their talents and bring horse owners to the farm to enjoy our 600 plus acres of fields and forests that overlook Sodus Bay.  We invite sponsors to provide prizes and samples to be given out the day of the rides including T-shirt name recognition.

 

Music Fest 2012!  Jammin’ with the Animals!     August 25^th, Saturday

Gates open at Noon and the bands will play till the cows come home!

Music Fest is a fun day filled with music provided by our great supportive friends in the bands that donate their talents and play blues, blue grass, rock, country and more!  Country recording artists, Wells Hollow, will be returning along with several other bands and singing artists.

2012’s bands will play throughout the day and into the evening  featuring  Wells Hollow from the Finger Lakes area, along with Sinzibukwud from Rochester, Soul Shakers, a popular Wayne County band, along with our local MC, Mimi Worth and her guitar and Jeremy Stevens.    All these artists donated their talents for the day to make Music Fest 2012 a success!   We welcome more bands to play and have had up to 8 bands in the past play for the day!

Raffles and door prizes are awarded throughout the day!  We invite vendors to participate with booths to display and sell their wares while they get to enjoy the music!  Let us know if there is something you’d like to donate for a door prize or raffle!  This is one of our favorite events, and the horses and the goats enjoy it too!

9^th Annual Animal Faire and the U-Pick Apple Kick Off Weekend!

Sept  8^th, Saturday  10am till  4pm.

Animal Faire is our event that highlights ALL animal shelters and not for profit organizations that work so hard to provide services to animals and people in need.

We invite not for profit groups, youth organizations and shelters to join us (free) to have a booth, bring their information, have a demonstration, sell items, have games, kid’s try it projects or donation jars to help raise money for their cause.

Vendors are invited too and the sky’s the limit on who can attend.  We have had everything from new cars, trucks and tractors, to wood crafts and basket weavers!   One year an excavation company brought big equipment for the kids to have their pictures taken on and a sand pile with toys!  Needless to say, they were a hot spot that year!  So be creative with your booths!  Jewelry, music, CDs, toys, holistic oils, wood crafts, ceramics, ice cream, maple syrup, candles or any wares or services that you would like to display and sell.

There are also farm tours, hay rides, games and of course, the U-Pick Apple Season opens that day!  It is a fun and well attended event for us and we hope you can make this year’s faire too!

Farm Frenzy Walk-a-thon -  October 6^th

Our past two walk a thons have been wonderful and interesting and have raised thousands of dollars for the shelter and farm operations.  This year’s Farm Frenzy will be held right here on the farm this year as our trails are being completed and the fall colors will make the day extra special!  We welcome sponsors to donate much need cash or items for the walk and picnic that follows the event and prizes to be awarded that day.  Web, newsletter and T-shirt recognition is available for businesses and sponsors.
